Welcome to our Greeting Cards shop.

Welcome to CardsCo

At CardsCo our plan is a simple one, we aren’t a large business trying to make a huge profit to satisfy our shareholders, far from it.
We simply intend to find large quantities of high quality greeting cards, exactly the same quality that you will find on the high street in any of the independent or chain shops – and then we unpack them all, scan the images, type up a lovely description to the best of our (limited) abilities, set an affordable and sensible price and offer them for sale online.
And yes, that is it.

The idea of CardsCo came from a visit to one of the high street chains of cards shops, Clinton Cards. Clintons are a fantastic chain of card shops, there is no denying that, but the one thing that really grates on me is the prices they charge.
I didn’t want to go and spend £4.00 odd on each card, it’s excessive, especially for someone who has a large family and a big group of friends, it meant I’d be spending more on greeting cards every year then I would do on my car insurance.

Quality Greeting Cards

So I, like many other people, looked at the other card shops that sell “budget cards” – which made me feel worse. Sending a greeting card that looked like a wafer thin piece of card with a squirrel sitting on a log with the words “Happy Birthday” printed in the centre just looked cheap. Spending 50p on a cheap birthday card simply sends out the message “I’ve thought of you when I was on my way here”, surely the recipient thinks, “I’ll put this one at the back of the shelf”.

So both of these shopping experiences made me think about setting up this website, I wanted to buy nice quality cards at a sensible price, and because people are organised when it comes to sending greeting cards I imagined they will plan ahead, and order several at a time. That was my idea, and now it’s reality with this website.

Online Card Shops

There is of course competition with other online card shops, there are a couple of big ones that advertise on the TV, and will personalise your cards to say whatever you like printed on the front and inside. These are good websites, with nice products. They are not cheap, and they look fantastic, but I just want to buy half a dozen cards at a time when I look at the calendar to see which of my family and friends are celebrating in the next few weeks.

So here we are, welcome to CardsCo – I’ll be buying more bulk orders of various greeting cards and ensuring there are plenty available in the shop ready for customers to purchase.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the website, and the products we’re selling so please feel free to complete the contact form and get in touch.
I’ll be keeping this section up to date with articles and information, along with special offers that I will set up from time to time. In fact, for those of you who have read this far down on our first article without falling asleep, if you enter the code greeting10 at the checkout, you will automatically receive a 10% discount from your order. I’ll leave that code open until the end of 2011, so feel free to use it again.

Everyone at CardsCo will promise to love you FOREVER if you share this page :
